Tripoli is the commercial centre of the North: the old souks around Al-Tall, the shops and cafés of El Mina by the port, and sweet shops known across Lebanon. Much of what is sold here goes by weight, and many shops keep a daftar for their regular customers.
Table handles both. A label-printing scale’s barcode rings the item with its weight in one scan, and a sale on account goes to the customer’s balance, with payments taken in dollars, lira or both.
With a label-printing scale, the till reads the barcode on the label (the PLU, then the weight or the price) and rings the product with its weight, so stock goes down by what was sold. Without one, the cashier types the weight.
Barcodes or PLU codes?A sale can go on a customer’s account, with a limit and a payment term if you set them. Payments are taken in any amount and in either currency, and the aging report shows who owes what and since when.
Customer credit: keeping the daftarA setting makes lira the large figure on the total, the drawer and the receipt, with dollars underneath, and a product can carry a fixed lira price.

The real screen
A bill paid partly in dollars and partly in lira, with the change worked out in both and split between the two. Every sale stores the rate it used, so past dollar totals don’t move with the lira.

Yes, two ways. With a label-printing scale, the till reads the barcode the scale prints (the product’s PLU and its weight or price) and rings it in one scan. Without one, the product opens a number pad that takes decimals, and the cashier types the weight. Either way the price is per kilo and stock goes down by the weight sold.
Yes. A sale can go on a named customer’s account, and the receipt shows the previous and the new balance. Payments are taken in dollars and lira and applied to the oldest debts first, or to the ones the cashier picks. From the customer list, the cashier can open a pre-filled balance reminder in their own WhatsApp.
Yes. The till, the printed receipt and the owner phone app are in Arabic or English, and each cashier picks their own language, so an Arabic cashier and an English manager can share one till. The help assistant inside the app answers in Lebanese Arabic or English, typed or by voice.
Yes, at the same price as anywhere in Lebanon. Click Download on the signup screen and the app picks up the 6-character pairing code shown when you sign up (valid 24 hours) when it opens on the same computer; anywhere else, enter the code. After 24 hours, message Table on WhatsApp for a new one.
